PITCH PERFECT APARTMENT – KITCHEN

Located within the rear extension of a Californian bungalow, the new space has become a home away from home for these busy, professional clients. Originally constructed in the 1980s, the extension was in need of a complete overhaul to meet the lifestyle needs of the owners. In redesigning the space, internal walls have been removed and the interior completely reconfigured to bring the rear of the home up to date. The extension encompasses an open plan entertainer’s kitchen, european laundry, bathroom, separate powder room and master bedroom robes.

The vibrant feature colours against the minimal finishes and streamlined design make this kitchen a pitch perfect studio apartment. The new space has become a home away from home for these busy, professional clients. Originally constructed in the 1980s, the extension was in need of a complete overhaul to meet the lifestyle needs of the owners.

The new design allowed the owners to explore their favourite colour schemes and incorporate a variety of shades and tones. Designed to allow for mess and day-to-day items to be hidden from sight, the joinery has been kept minimalist with careful thought given to ensuring easy access to these items when needed.

Of note is the back-lit feature panel for the kitchen’s splashback and island bar front which creates a striking visual impact against the calm background colour scheme. In the bathroom, a calm note pervades thanks to floor and wall colours which are enhanced with effervescent joinery for added effect.
