Monochromatic Ensuite & Master Bedroom Renovation

Our clients approached us wanting to update the ensuite and master bedroom of their Belair home. The creamy tones and small square tiles felt tired and inconsistent with their personal style. They wanted a retreat with quality finishes and all the comforts of the 21st century.

Seeking a complete transformation, they were inclined towards a sleek, monochromatic look. Our clients desired a seamless blend between both spaces, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic. Comfort and convenience were key aspects of this renovation. Features such as underfloor heating, heated towel rails, back-lid mirrors and twin vessels were on their must-have list. Above all, they envisioned a contemporary space that reflected their style and felt uniquely theirs.

A Retreat with all the Modern Amenities

Our Interior Designer focused on incorporating all modern amenities while using top-quality materials and finishes with a bold monochromatic palette. We selected dark porcelain floor tiles that also extended up the feature wall, bringing back a long room into perspective. While maintaining the existing floor plan, we integrated tailored features such as a shower bench seat, as well as a built-in niche for shower essentials, an easy-to-clean frameless glass screen, and a ceiling-mounted rain shower.

The wainscot panelling in the bedroom echoed the ensuite’s design, enhancing the overall cohesion of the space. A new plush carpet in the bedroom completed the transformation, adding a sense of luxury underfoot.

For this monochromatic ensuite, we designed a bespoke vanity in satin black that seamlessly blends with the flooring, creating a unified look. We selected a Caesarstone benchtop in Impira White, which ties the space together beautifully. Next to the vanity, we placed a Synergii rimless toilet. On each end of the vanity, we installed black Clipsal power outlets with USB A and C ports to connect all personal care and grooming devices.

The space was completed with two round mirrors featuring anti-fog technology and LED task lighting, providing both style and functionality. Their soft illumination introduced warmth, balancing the room’s striking aesthetic.

Keeping our client’s request for modern comforts in mind, our team included heated towel rails, which activate with a simple press of a button and feature a timer for added convenience. In addition, we incorporated an underfloor heating system and a Ventair ceiling exhaust to enhance ventilation, keeping the room fresh and comfortable.
