UNIVERSAL OPEN ACCESS BATHROOM

Our clients needed an open access bathroom with facilities for the use of a wheelchair. The bathroom is an essential part of any home, to cater for all people, regardless of physical ability. Our designer successfully transformed this bathroom into a fully functional universal bathroom. Specific attention was placed on the height of the vanity and bath hob, along with the accessibility of tapware and fittings. Another important consideration was allowing ample turning area for the wheelchair. The open walk in shower is the most practical solution for convenience. Whereas, the toilet is hidden on the other side of the wall for added privacy.

THE RESULT

Selected finishes exude elegance and warmth, adverse to what one might expect from a traditional universal bathroom. As a result, the subtle and well thought out details of this design have made it both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
