Hamptons Style Ensuite & Walk-in Robe Renovation

After two decades in their Flagstaff Hill home, the owners felt it was time to revitalise their ensuite and walk-in robe. They were ready for a refresh, something functional, elegant, and built to support their lifestyle well into retirement.

Our clients dreamed of a high-end walk-in robe with smart storage. They wanted full-height cabinetry along with separate zones for his and her items. For the ensuite, they sought a space that would be easy to maintain, accessible, and future-ready.

The couple had a vision but needed help bringing it to life. That’s where our design specialists stepped in, translating their ideas into practical, beautiful realities.

Beautiful Layout Solutions

We started by addressing the walk-in robe layout, which had several technical challenges. The existing laundry chute and angled wall meant we had to plan the cabinetry layout carefully. We designed custom joinery to work around both, making sure they were fully integrated. The room was also out of level. To create a clean, square finish, we built in void space behind the cabinetry. We used side and top fillers to achieve a seamless, floor-to-ceiling installation that looks effortless.

In the ensuite, we utilised the same layout, using a fluted glass door and shower screen to bring privacy while adding visual interest. We built a floating vanity with twin above-counter fluted basins that sit atop a sleek Dekton benchtop, offering both style and function. Every element has been selected to feel light, bright, and timeless.

The renovated walk-in robe includes tailored zones with short and long hanging as well as drawers, open shelves, shoe and trouser racks, and a pull-down rail. A built-in laundry chute connects directly to the laundry below. Velvet-lined jewellery drawers keep valuables safe and organised.

This design not only maximises space but also caters to how the couple live every day.

Hamptons-style Ensuite

This project draws heavily on the Hamptons style with clean lines, soft tones, and natural textures. The flooring flows into the bedroom, tying the spaces together beautifully. Light cabinetry contrasts with black fittings, while ambient strip lighting adds elegance.

The renovated ensuite features a VJ panel wall that brings in that classic Hamptons look. Twin-fluted basins on a sleek Dekton top add texture and durability. Quartzite tiles and Super White walls reflect light and keep the space bright. To finish, we added Parisi Fucile tapware, towel heaters for comfort, and LED-lit shave cabinets with extra storage, offering a blend of beauty, practicality, and modern function.

In the walk-in robe, warm light-grey cabinetry with subtle woodgrain embossing pairs beautifully with matte black accessories, adding a modern contrast to a timeless base. Full-height storage wraps the room, creating a built-in, luxurious feel. Vinyl timber planks in Highland Blackbutt bring warmth and a coastal charm.

Everyday Luxury Achieved

This renovation has completely changed how our clients use their space. The walk-in robe offers storage that’s easy to reach, perfectly tailored, and clutter-free. The ensuite is low-maintenance, well-lit, and feels relaxing from the moment you walk in.

More importantly, both rooms now suit them today, and will continue to work beautifully in the years ahead. The couple felt supported throughout the process, and they’re thrilled with the outcome.
