Lobethal Country Kitchen Renovation
Our clients appreciate the tranquillity of their home nestled in Lobethal. They contacted us to breathe new life into their 1960s kitchen, seeking a fully functional space that suited their lifestyle.
For our clients, the kitchen is the heart of the home. They often host gatherings with family and friends and envisioned a country-style kitchen with contemporary elements. They preferred timber and warm colours with a touch of gold, but most importantly, they needed a functional space with modern appliances and ample storage.
The previous 1960s kitchen had an impractical layout, minimal storage, and narrow cabinetry that couldn’t accommodate modern appliances. We started by creating a new floor plan with built-in appliances, plenty of storage, and a generous benchtop. This involved removing the nib walls and shifting the storeroom doorway. The improved layout was designed to enhance the experience of hosting family gatherings, welcoming visitors, and creating a natural flow for preparation, cooking, and dining.
Inspired by the beauty of Lobethal
Our interior designer drew inspiration from the breathtaking views surrounding the home in Lobethal. We selected a colour scheme of muted blue-green tones reminiscent of gum trees, combined with white, oak tones, and gold accents, resulting in a stylish and warm ambience. We included a built-in Miele oven, semi-integrated dishwasher, and induction cooktop to balance style and functionality. Above the generous benchtop, LED strips provide task lighting while preparing meals and ambient lighting at night, adding to the warm and inviting feel. This renovation successfully transformed the outdated kitchen into a functional, beautiful and welcoming space.
The renovated kitchen features, Zellige backsplash tiles arranged in a subtle pattern combined with Bari and Ascot-style doors. The timber doors, windows, and cabinetry style help create a country kitchen aesthetic. The bespoke cabinetry showcases wood-textured finishes in classic white and topiary colours, completed with elegant Mayfaire handles in Brushed Brass.
Our clients now have a kitchen that suits their lifestyle and enhances their enjoyment of their home. The space is more functional and inviting, perfect for family gatherings and hosting. Adding a coffee station catered to the homeowners’ love for coffee, and the modernised elements ensured the kitchen met current standards. In conclusion, this kitchen renovation has positively impacted our clients’ daily lives.
