Contemporary Country Kitchen Renovation
After fifteen years of living in their 1990s home in Aberfoyle Park, this lovely family approached us eager to breathe new life into their kitchen, they longed for a space where they could feel relaxed and content.
Our clients envisioned a kitchen that would match the rest of the house, a space that blended modern functionality with rustic charm, reflecting the natural beauty surrounding their home.
They wanted to extend the original 1990s Brushbox parquetry flooring into the kitchen area. Reviving the worn flooring in the living room, hallway and dining areas while finding the right wooden tone and shape to extend it into the kitchen was no small feat. Nonetheless, our team embraced the challenge and seamlessly extended the charming parquetry flooring, creating a cohesive flow throughout the house.
This contemporary country kitchen features an island with a charming solid timber benchtop in a Wormy Chestnut finish. We included plenty of storage and two seating spaces which not only adds functionality but also creates a cozy gathering spot for the family.
Embracing Natural Light and Scenic Views
We prioritised natural light, ensuring the space would be bright and welcoming. As a result, this new kitchen features a magnificent view of the Gumtree through the glass splashback in their backyard, completed with Marazzi Rice Tiles.
In this renovation, we upgraded all kitchen appliances and crafted bespoke solutions, including a wine rack for our client’s collection, inbuilt appliances and additional power points. Additionally, we incorporated top cabinets tailored for storing and carefully displaying a set of grasses with high sentimental value for our clients.
Our design seamlessly blends natural materials like wood and stone for a warm and textured aesthetic. We selected traditional cabinets complemented by sleek black steel accents, which add a touch of sophistication to the space. An appliance garage with folding doors ensures streamlined storage and a clutter-free environment.
The renovation has significantly enhanced our clients’ daily lives, providing them with a kitchen perfectly tailored to their needs and desires. They now enjoy a space where they can relax, surrounded by warmth and natural beauty. The restored parquetry flooring throughout the house adds to the overall charm and comfort of their home.
