Kingswood Home Renovation: Bathroom & Laundry
This family contacted us wanting to revamp the main bathroom and laundry areas of their charming 1920 bungalow nested in Kingswood. They were looking to modernise these areas with sleek fixtures as well as increase the storage available for the whole family.
CONTEMPORARY Bathroom
Our clients wanted a practical yet stylish environment that would help maintain order while exuding contemporary flair. In order to achieve this we included customised storage solutions and top-of-the-line fittings and fixtures making this bathroom both practical and elegant.
We created a spacious wall-mounted vanity in Wormy Chestnut with double drawers for better storage. To create a comfortable atmosphere, we installed LED lighting under the cabinet and along the mirror.
Catering for this family’s needs, we opted for a blend of safety and style with anti-slip Italian Porcelain tiles in a sophisticated Base Ash colour for both the walls and floor. Additionally, we crafted a convenient wall-to-wall niche within the shower to house all essential supplies. Lastly, we incorporated underfloor heating and heated towel bars, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Versatile Laundry Spaces
Our laundry design pays close attention to the multifunctional needs of this room, providing the family with a seamless and elegant solution for their everyday tasks. We implemented a range of storage solutions, including custom-designed drawers ideal for organising pet food and other necessities, all equipped with Hafele Euro cargo fittings. To elevate the laundry’s visual appeal, we opted for Suki White Mosaic Matt tiles for the walls, paired with coral floral floor tiles, injecting charm and personality into the space.
Furthermore, our team crafted a dedicated changing station to house the family’s electrical appliances and cleaning tools. This station is equipped with plenty of power points for seamless functionality as well as convenient slide-out shelves with ample storage to effortlessly accommodate extra towels and cleaning supplies.
To optimise space usage, we strategically stacked the washing and drying appliances atop cloth baskets, streamlining the household washing routine. We also installed additional power points near the table and incorporated LED strip lights to ensure ample illumination for tasks like ironing and folding. In addition to including a sink and a clothes hanger rail, catering to delicate items that require hand washing. For added comfort, we integrated underfloor heating into the new laundry area.
This family is thrilled with the renovation results. The revamped spaces not only meet their practical needs but also exceed their expectations in terms of style. They now have a home that looks beautiful and caters to their needs.
